The Owings Family website houses the Owings Family Endowed Scholarship (TOFES "toffees") and stories of Owings family members in whose honor the scholarship is named at the University of New Mexico.
"TOFES" projects will boost UNM's college students furthering that "can-do" attitude that has grown our family and our country.
"Our Tree" follows our family line back to Rachel and Richard Owings and the stories about our family members. To share your story, contact Suzann (scroll down).

The Mississippi couple, Elizabeth and Addison Owings, who chronicled the Owings family history asked friends and family members to scour telephone books--remember those?--for new people to include in their 1980 publication.
In 1976 they said that every person in the USA named Owings, and some named Owens, originated hundreds of years earlier with one couple, Rachel and Richard Owings.
As you can, please join as we imitate Elizabeth and Addison Owings's outreach from 50 years ago for two good programs.
